ISS-Corporate Announces New Cyber Risk Modeling Tool for Corporates
NEW YORK (July 23, 2025) – ISS-Corporate, a leading provider of robust SaaS and expert advisory services to companies globally, today announced the release of a new score modeling tool within its Cyber Risk platform for corporate users, allowing corporates to model how changes to their cybersecurity practices may affect their overall cyber risk. The tool shows the impact that different remediation scenarios would have on an organization’s cyber risk, as
measured through changes to its ISS Cyber Risk Score.
The ISS Cyber Risk Score is an objective and data-driven assessment of an organization’s forward-looking cyber risk, designed to support business decision-making across teams. The empirically derived model is trained on real breach events and bases company scores on billions of risk signal data points. It translates technical signals into clear, actionable insights for leaders in risk management, legal, security, and investor relations, helping them reduce risk, improve insurability, strengthen legal protection, and communicate effectively with boards, investors, and other stakeholders.
With the new score modeling tool, users can view in real-time the impact of potential cybersecurity improvements on their organization’s ISS Cyber Risk Score and their standing relative to peers. Users can simulate an unlimited number of remediation scenarios (e.g. improvements in website construction, or limiting access to exposed services), allowing them to pinpoint and prioritize the most impactful changes for score improvement and overall cyber risk posture improvements.
Douglas Clare, Head of Cyber Strategy at ISS-Corporate, said: “With growing calls from boards, regulators, and investors for transparency into corporate cybersecurity practices, managing cyber risk is now a critical business imperative. This new score modeling tool allows companies to quickly and effectively determine where to focus efforts at bolstering security practices and reducing risk, and to demonstrate how their efforts can translate into tangible risk reduction.”
